Credit Report Disputes

Last updated: July 5, 2026

If you believe information in your credit report is inaccurate or incomplete, or you suspect identity theft, you may submit a dispute directly to iSoftpull, the provider through which Hunter.Lease runs its soft credit inquiry. Hunter.Lease is a broker (Cargwin LLC, California auto broker DMV license #21138), not a credit bureau, so we cannot correct information in your credit file ourselves.

Your right to dispute directly with the bureaus

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you also have the right to dispute inaccurate information for free directly with the nationwide credit bureaus. The bureau must investigate, generally within 30 days.

Identity theft

If you suspect identity theft, you can report it and get a recovery plan from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at IdentityTheft.gov.

File a complaint with the CFPB

You may also submit a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) at consumerfinance.gov/complaint.
